What is Connect@Faith-Grow?

We are a ministry for the 32-40(ish) age range with the goal of getting to know each other well, loving each other as family, edifying, strengthening, and inspiring each other through our God-given gifts, all while passionately living out the Great Commission of declaring the Gospel and teaching the World around us how to obey all that Christ taught and commanded us.

Why did you call it "Grow"?
We are at the stage in life where we are growing in our ability to impact each other and the world around us.  Jesus said in John 15:2(b) that "Every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful." We know we are already fruitful in that; we are becoming more like Jesus, pursuing God's will for our lives, and discovering our unique gifts.  Now, we want to be used by God daily more and more. Let's call it - "growing while we're going."

What can I expect?
Social environments (zoom and in-person) where everyone is welcome and treated respectfully as important and valuable.  We will bond as friends, get to know each other, care for each other through ups and downs. There will be prayer, miracles, break-throughs, and faith-based discussions.  Everyone will have the opportunity to connect with a smaller, close-knit circle that intentionally supports one another. Expect to contribute.

Inspirational verses:

Help the World meet Jesus:
Matt 9:10-12
(10) While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples. (11) When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, ‘Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?’ (12) On hearing this, Jesus said, ‘It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but those who are ill.'

Support and Love Each Other:
1 Corinthians 12:24-26
(24b) But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, (25) so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. (26) If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.

Stay Close for Strength:
Ecclesiastes 4:12
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Use your Spiritual Gifts to Edify the Church:
1 Corinthians 12:4,7
(4) There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.
(7) Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.
