FaithKidz
Our Mission Statement
FaithKIDZ Choir is dedicated to the development of Christian character through song in every child. All choir members have the opportunity to develop:
• A deeper relationship with our Savior
• A basic knowledge of choir vocal skills, execution of musical syncopation, and choral direction Christian leadership skills.
History
Victoria Williams Turner began the FaithKidz Choir in April 2010 and has done an amazing job with more than 45 choir members and parent leadership. The children are taught to praise God with a standard of excellence in their singing.
Accomplishments
The FaithKidz Choir has sung to overjoyed audiences at Faith Fellowship and in the surrounding area, including:
• 2010 Raise The Roof In Praise Concert
• 2011 United In Praise Concert
• 2015 San Leandro Mayor’s Christmas Celebration
• 2017 Spring Concert
• San Leandro Greenhouse Mall Safeway Christmas Celebration
Several FaithKIDZ Choir members have received advanced placement in their school choir as a direct result of participating in the FaithKidz Choir.
Academic and Spiritual Growth
Whenever available, an academic review is conducted on each song’s author and the reason they wrote the song.
FaithKidz Choir is a singing ministry providing service to the congregation of Faith Fellowship Worship Center up to six times per year and whenever called upon and available to minister. The members of the choir are encouraged to give service to their community and also have opportunities to serve in Sunday service as ushers, greeters, and sing on the worship team.
Once a year, the parents are encouraged to sing with their children; further strengthening the bonds of parenthood through Christ.
The families enjoy several field trips and activities that are fun, educational, and encourage long standing friendships with other choir members.
