STEPHEN MINISTRY

Our Mission Statement

Everyone experiences challenges and problems in life. During such times, the support of a caring Christian friend can often make the difference between defeat and victory. Stephen Ministers provide emotional and spiritual care to individuals in our church and community who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. Stephen Ministers are lay persons who are gifted and called to care giving. They have been equipped through

an extensive six-month training course and they also receive monthly peer group supervision and continuing education to ensure that they are providing the highest quality Christian care. The care they provide is confidential, on-going (usually meeting an hour per week with their care-receiver), and free.

If you or someone you know might benefit from receiving care from a Stephen Minister, please contact Paul and Carolyn Piraino, Stephen Ministry Leaders.

Stephen Ministry/Life Skills Class

This class is open to anyone at Faith Fellowship who is interested in developing their caring and relational skills. The class runs from January through June of each year.  For more information, please contact Paul and Carolyn Piraino.
